Happy Halloween!

it was a dark and starry night...... the day before the night before two days before Halloween.
the moon was nowhere to be seen....The only lights came from Tremblant... where people were probably getting crazy at the Caribou even thought it was not yet Halloween...
The next day was lighter, during the day.... but DARK again at night.... but medium dark and kind of pink right before twilight(not vampires) before dark.
We baked SCARY cookies....
carved CRAZY pumpkins....

AND THEN THE GHOST OF HALLOWEEN's past came to steal our beautiful pumpkins!!!!
But we survived and celebrated with a sweet hike the next morning....
ANTI-HUNTING attire....

don't shoot my deer (bad spelling pun intended) friend.

anyway. we also hit up some sweet muddy leafy mountain biking in Tremblant!
And now, winter is here.

california, new york, montreal!

Marco and I have been on a bit of a whirlwind tour since leaving Truckee and it's amazing mountain biking behind...
Our first stop was New York City!! It was my first time there, so it was pretty exciting to see what the BIG city is all about!  We rolled up to our hotel right in Times Square!
Meg showed me around all morning and then in the afternoon Marco, Steven and I checked out Central Park! Very cool!
some sweet art!
 oasis in the city

 Getting musical!!!
New York was crazy fun, but so quick! We were in and outta there within 24 hours, and then back to Montreal for the Ski Quebec Gala!  It was really cool to take part in both the USA ski ball and the ski-quebec gala; both with the same goal to help raise money for our amazing sport!! It was apparent at both that there is a huge ski community backing up all the athletes in their pursuit of PODIUMS!
So, with podiums in mind, here we are all dressed up!
That's all! It's been a crazy and fun few days!!
I leave you with a beautiful coffee from coffeebar in Truckee!! I'm gonna miss that place!!

mountain biking!

I never take my camera biking with me, so today I decided to lug it along and it was worth it! Such a beautiful sunny Sunday biking near Truckee!
TRICKS!! starting the day off with a little log riding.... balancing... looking ahead!
 a little wobbly....
but I got it! So happy ahahahaha.
 bigger logs.....
 even bigger trees!!
 tree obsession.....
 attempts at extreme biking pictures....
 I think I need a steadier hand...
 focus!
And the trail after the real trail, taking us back to the car through a golden field!

The world cup season has begun!

Before all my random pictures, I just want to say congrats to Mitch and JP for their performances this weekend in Solden!! They both charged hard and started their season's off positively and with valuable points!!
AND Marco's men's race picks on fantasyskiracer.com came in 2nd for the men!!! Our combo team is named slasher.... My women's picks came in 400th.... So I think I'll leave the betting to him from now on!
Otherwise, we've been training a bunch and enjoying the beauty of Lake Tahoe!
It's so clear it's ridiculous.
 and turquoise.

We went down to Marco's moms house to pick pumpkins from her pumpkin patch!

 ski inspired pumpkin....
 Giants fan......
And the "Lucky me farms" pumpkin, named after their farm/garden business!
 treats!!!!!!!

 lit up!
The lake lit up!!! But there's been no moon lately so it's pretty DARK...
 But I tried anyway!
GOod night lake Tahoe!
