One last laurentian adventure!

For my last day in Tremblant, my parents and I woke up early-ish and went biking!!
Started out as a cold, foggy morning...
preppin the bikes.
La Riviere Rouge was all misty.
And the spiderwebs were covered in dew!
But the clouds melted away and the sun came out just as we were passing this covered bridge!
All the raindrops and dew were making things sparkle!
I wish the colours were already changing, but I have a feeling I will miss them this year!
because I'll be SKIING!
haha.
these are all my bags, I forgot how to pack light.
oops
En route now to Munich!
Next time I blog, I will be blogging about SKIING! yay!

TRAINING!

I've been training for the past few days in Calgary and the city lived up to it's weather reputation and SNOWED today.
But that didn't dampen the mood at the gym.
BALANCING!
my new favourite thing: single legged jumping!
And single leg squatting... painful face
"aint no big deal" face.... left leg is smoother
I guess this is my "new" jumping picture.  Instead of jumping (double legged) in random settings, I am now focusing on the single leg jump-up-to-a-bench!  Maybe it'll catch on?? doubtful, but I'm still pumped about it!
I gotta start packing for SKIING!! I forget what to pack now it's been so long!!!! ummm shampoo, ski clothes, toothbrush.... it's gonna be a long night!!

Girls long weekend in Charlevoix!
A large group of us got together this weekend before Anna P's big WEDDING day!!  We had a crazy fun girls weekend with an amazing view from our amazing cottage-mansion!

The weekend was filled with hilarious games!  I was on the "Green Team" and after I lost my ping-pong match to "orange-team-emily-brydon" my punishment was to roll down the hill! Luckily I bonded with Joe the cute little doggy at the bottom.
BUT! When I beat her in our rematch, her punishment was to get in the garbage can and get rolled down the hill!
We didn't get very far.....
But it was a hilarious event nonetheless.
The group of us! In our team colours!!!
And then in order of height!
An epic game of "washers"..... concentration.
Followed by some less-than-competitive tennis matches!!!
Em, julie and Jess cheering from the sidelines!
And finally, one of our weekend-long activities was making paper cranes!
We made hundreds. no joke.  They will get put to good use though!
Julie: pro crane maker!
An epic weekend in an amazing part of Quebec!  Thanks to all the girls for such great times!!!

Now back to work!  I got officially cleared to ski today by Dr. Litchfield and I can't WAIT!!

INTENSE MED-BALL training!!!
Marco and I headed to the field yesterday for a medicine ball and agility workout!

Throwing it as HIGH as you can!
This thing weighed seven kilos... times a million reps of many different exercises and it starts to really make your upper body BURN!
But we managed...
And to reward ourselves we hit up the Lake!! (Donner...)
It was ridiculously clear!!! Right after Marco jumped in a snapped a pic of the ripples and the light combo! I thought it was pretty cool!
balancing........
spread eagle!
blurry but still pretty sweet!!
And look what he found for me at the bottom of the lake!!! A beautiful headband! yay.
After swimming and working out, I decided to have another craft day!  I sewed some curtains with the leftovers from our new Ikea curtains, and then I printed on them!! Here was my stencil, paints...etc
And here's what the final product looked like!
Ahh.  i love arts and crafts!
But, the REAL pro crafters came to our house the other day to install our new doorknobs and pulls in the kitchen!! Jesse and Bernie are pro blacksmiths and made us some custom kitchenware!! It looks amazing!

Striker Forge!
Anyway... we've been so busy fixing up the house and unpacking and assembling things that it's been a less adventurous week!! BUT tomorrow I'm heading east for a girls weekend in Charlevoix which will be AMAZING!!!
