change

It's 7:15am and I am throwing my books into my backpack and lacing up my shoes to head out for DRYLAND.  Here's what's up since leaving Tahoe.

We packed up and left Truckee with all of our favourite toys (bikes, clubs, volleball..etc) and all of our favourite kitchen things, and said goodbye!!
 across the boring salt flats...
 this is for MP...
 we left behind beautiful tahoe...
 and all of it's lakes.
and finally arrived to our new home.
 COLLEGE! Looks like a movie.
Trying to catch up in math by studying my notes from 11 years ago.
 exploring the trails!!!
 ....studying....
 exploring more trails!!!
 and embracing the city scene.

There's still pretty things to be seen, even in the city.

roadside sunflowers enjoying the final sun rays.
 reflections...
a lot has changed but a lot's still the same.  Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
I still get to have fun and be outside with my friends which seems to be a priority in my life no matter what I am doing.

family time in tahoe

My last weekend in Truckee was spent HIKING with my dad and Peter.
The first day we hiked up Judah Peak and then over to Donner Summit!
There was a crazy cool tree at the top.
fro hair, fro tree.
 obsessed with rocks lately.

 Donner Lake from Judah Peak!

 levitation!

love the rocks and the trees.

amazing camping

Yesterday afternoon Marco and I decided to go for a last-minute camping trip.  We're both leaving town soon and wanted to get in a little extra awesome tahoe time!!
We drove out to Bear Lake, a tiny lake near the famous Rubicon Jeep Road.
We arrived at dusk and I got crazy with my camera, flowers and the setting sun.  It was so beautiful!

 fairytale looking forest.
the last light touching these flowers.

peeking through.
 marco sitting on the lake....
 very cool reflections!
 CALM.
 seeing double
 dragonfly fights!
 Star gazing tent.
 STAR!
the many hilarious faces of Marco.
 just dance!

 ANNA
after so much playing around with lights and fire, we checked out the meteor showers.
It was AMAZING.
I saw some HUGE meteors that were ridiculous!  In most of my pics if you zoom in and look closely there are either shooting stars or meteors in each.
Here you can see 2 star trails.
This meteor I was so lucky to capture!! It was HUGE in real life, and the tail is green.  I think this is one of the cooler pics I have ever taken! Especially since the meteor trail reflected on the lake.
all in all it was just an crazy beautiful starry night.  Camping was awesome and it's crazy that the summer has flown by so quickly.
Next week is the official moving week! Uhaul and everything.....
