PITZtal.... early mornings and sweet slalom skiing!

Pitztal has been sweet so far!  Wake up at 5:40, at the lift at 6:40, skiing by 7:40AM!!!
I tried to portray our extreme early-bird-ness in this picture....

SMILES all around!!! even before it's light out!

A pic by Jenny from the Glacier!
The apres-ski routine includes WORKING OUT!
The girls getting their strength on.  And MP

BUFF and glistening, not sweating.
To regenerate after our intense gym workouts, we sometimes hit up the cave hot-tub!
It was starting to snow yesterday afternoon, so we decided to do some hot/cold sprints from the hot tub, to the snowy field, and back!
Checking out the stars in our hot-tub cave, and the snow falling in the fields.
 Starry cave-sky....
 having SO MUCH FUN!
 yes, we did.
 MP, colourfully stretching....
We are departing for HOLLAND tomorrow to do some indoor skiing! SHould be cool!!

End of Solden and a day off!

The girls and I connected with nature today on our day off.
Mitch especially.
The moss was so bouncy and inviting that everyone was tempted to lay down for a moment.
MP chillaxin on the mossy bouncy green ground!
It was even hanging from the trees!
 We were into it.
We walked up through mossy wilderness.
 And paused for a lookout.
Erin, MP and Mitch, taking a breather and enjoying the view.
 The avalanche stoppers were rusty.

Solden was amazing for the last four days.  Slalom people got slalom, GS people got GS, and everybody was happy!!  We moved over to Pitztal last night and have another block of training beginning tomorrow.
Here is Mitch ripping some GS in Solden yesterday.
The "GS" girls prepping at the start...

Chemmy exploding out of the start gate!

And then some apres-ski fun!  Mitch and I went for a little bike ride along the river!!
And played in the park!!! Zip lining was the highlight of my day!
Mitch testing out all the sweet park activities!!!
Good times...
back to SKIING tomorrow!

a MILLION pics from hiking around SOlden.

My days off are tooooo long to spend indoors, so yesterday Gen, Chemmy and I went to an amazing spa where we swam around in hot, cold and salt filled pools.  It was awesome and super refreshing!  Today I was on my own so I tore myself away from the internet and went for another Solden Hike!
I took pictures of all the markers along the way and made a Collage!!
I love collaginG! hahah
And i love the way these trees are so straight and tall and perfectly spaced out.
 The route.
The Benches were a theme for me as well.  I love the red benches!

The red/green contrast in the middle of the woods is cool.
And so, I took a picture of all the different benches I came across!
Here they are! All different!
I was so happy about all the benches that I had a zen moment.

And then carried on with my walk....
Until I came to a bridge and headed back home.
Trippy looking down at the river below.

 ahhh.
 cool water splashing.

That's all.....tomorrow i'll be back on snow in slalom gates! yeah!

So, I am officially finished with my "return-to-snow" program!  The last 2 weeks have been a balance between getting used to skiing, getting comfortable skiing, keeping up with strength and conditioning training, physiotherapy with Kent; everything one day at a time.  I feel like everything was super successful and I'm ready to join up with the rest of the team for the rest of this camp!  The girls arrive tonight and we have 3 more weeks of training ahead of us.  I will only be focusing on slalom quality over quantity to keep my knee fresh and happy!
Here are a couple pics from the last few amazing days!
Morning mist rising in the mountains.
The coaches setting the slalom...
And a random helicopter doing a sketchy landing!
Here's some dryland collaging... Agility ladder!!
Jay and I have been seriously improving our tennis games!!  Pretty sweet self-timer action shot!

My outdoor "gym" is beautiful.... its felt like summer the last few days.
ANd a weird attempt at a solden night shot. didn't really work out!
I'm trying to get some video together and maybe make a little montage...
Until then, happy Friday!
